In the '50s, sitting in front of the living room television, I would watch the shows teaching children how to paint. My favorite was a Japanese gentleman that taught brush painting. Those lessons were my entry into a lifelong love of painting. [go to biography]
Fine Art :: oils, watercolors & drawings
Painting is about trust. Trust that the direction a painting is going will become, over time, the goal one is trying to achieve. It is also about trusting the serendipitous, the surprises that take a painting away from the goal and into mystery. [go to paintings & drawings]
Graphic Design :: from wine labels to websites

Writing :: lifestyle articles, copywriting & web content
The "myth" in Myth and Magic are a set of stories and articles - myths - -that make up the body of my writing. The majority of my writing deals with food and wine...with occasional forays into anything else that catches my fancy! I write for print publications and web sites, and I also write for wineries; doing press kits, newsletters and such. But basically I write because I want to. Because it's fun. [go to writing]
